Brooks Malone worked with Pat on a design that would extend the full-featured outdoor living area cleanly with continuous decking straight thru from the interior. The beauty of natural stone is highlighted in dry-stacked boulder wall set back into the hilly backyard to create a nice level grassy nook by the pool. The neutral broom-finished concrete and minimalist landscaping border really let the calming Sapphire Blue Classic finish of the inground fiberglass pool shine and dominate the scene.
The pool is a fiberglass Latham Olympia generously sized at 16′ x 35′ with depth ranging from 3’6″ to 6’4″ in depth, offering a variety of swim experiences. This model features a fully-integrated tanning ledge, corner seating in the deep end, and an entry staircase with railing. The homeowner opted for a separate spa and a generous decking surround for plenty of room and options for lounging poolside.
The backyard slopes right down to the poolside landscaping, and the surrounding safety fence was set well back to create a sense of spaciousness. Raised planters at the pool corner break up the visual flow and add a simple but effective etra decorative touch. The covered outdoor living area includes a pass-through bar, outdoor kitchen, dining set, and fireside sitting area with large TV.
